barefoot and authentic | beginners workshop & mentoring
We wanted to create a 1-on-1 mentoring program and photography workshops for beginner photographers aspiring to understand their camera and take their skill to the next level. You will learn the basics of how to use your camera along with understanding your settings so you can create your vision within the lens. You will get to experience first hand how to create a flow to your sessions with learning the basics of posing, composition and lighting. We will work 1-on-1 or in a group setting during a live session together so you can have the true experience of working with the beautiful chaos that is uniquely presented before you.
What We Will Discuss
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
What to expect.
Make the jump! Let's dive into the magic of light and adventure. I want to share with you what I have learned in my 12 years behind the camera and the many things I wish I would have known as a beginner photographer. I will help you understand your camera and get the most out of your settings. You will also learn how to balance your settings using your Manual setting to create more within your lens. You will learn basics on posing your subjects and how to bring out the authenticity of who they are. Lighting! This is where all the magic happens. I will share my tips and tricks on how to make light work for you and create a unique setting for your sessions. You will receive support and critic after the workshop to answer any questions you may have! My goal is to make sure that you leave this workshop feeling more confident and ready to start your journey.
What to bring.
The best thing that you can bring with you is a positive attitude and open mind. This is one of the most important things when entering your "zone" before working with future clients. I will walk you through how I personally get in my frame of mind before starting a session. This will also help your clients feel at ease and comfortable in front of your camera as well as create a positive experience.
Equipment; For the best learning experience, I recommend having a DSLR camera and a lens. You will also need to supply your own SD memory cards for your camera. That's it!
As you do when you leave the house in the morning, be sure to dress according to the weather. Comfortable shoes are key! Make sure to dress comfortable but presentable as well. I will explain the importance to this small detail and why it will help set the tone as well as a great first impression for your clients!
